Typical headroom of most DI is mere 3 Volts (this was original design for passive instrumen /guitar)

The output of today active guitar & bass reaches 7 volts!!

Causing most DI to have square wave. This make them sound harsh

WAVE DI-22 give you extra rail voltage from usual passive instrumen so it can handle MORE & EXTRA HEADROOM.
